Aim & Scope

The Journal of Law and Politics is an interdisciplinary, international journal published by the Faculty of Law at the International Balkan University. The journal accepts articles from the fields of law and politics and their mutual interaction. The journal focuses in particular on the development and challenges in law and politics, seen through different theoretical and research perspectives and encourages theoretical and empirical research on the impact of contemporary trends on various aspects of law and politics, their internal relations, tensions and relationships between separate subsystems in within the framework of the legal and political system, the challenges that such trends bring with them to individual regions, and especially to the Balkans. The Journal of Law and Politics encourages and publishes research that seeks to find the intersection between legal, political, economic, social, cultural aspects of social life. The journal is open to different theoretical and methodological approaches and will publish articles that will appeal to a wide audience, to those who bear the distinctions in law and politics, activists, citizens.

 

Among the topics covered by the Journal of Law and Politics in the field of law are administrative law, criminal law, family law, consumer law, immigration law, agency law, company law, EU law, civil law, insurance law. In the field of politics, the Journal of Law and Politics covers the following topics: political systems, political theories and ideologies, political philosophy, political culture, history of politics, theoretical and empirical analyzes of power, state and governance, democracy, democratization and democratic processes, political parties, elections, theories of voting, political campaigns, public opinion, public policies, political processes in individual states and regions.
